How do I install this on my old pc that doesn't have nx?

Unless it's a really old PC, you probably do have NX. Most PCs from the last 8 years do support it. What kind of PC is it? Do you know what processor it has?

It could, however, be turned off. "Brand-name" PCs in particular often have useful features turned off by default. (Going back about 10 years, Dell even used to charge about £50 extra for a PC with a "Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading" processor when you could just go into the BIOS and turn on HT there on the "non-HT" model...)

Try going into BIOS Setup (look for a message like "Press DEL to enter setup" when you first turn on the PC; F2 is another key that is commonly used) and looking in the advanced settings relating to the CPU (processor). There may be a line like "NX support [Disabled]". It may also be called something like "XD" or "Execute Disable". If there is, change it to say "Enabled" then save and exit Setup.

Hope this helps a bit :)

It's Actually a custom built one.
The Motherboard is an MSI MS-6728 v2
I got an Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.00 GHz processor.

Hm, maybe, maybe not... P4 is complex :)

The P4 HT 3.0 based on the Northwood core and the Prescott-based P4 HT 3.0E and P4 HT 530 don't but the 530J, 531 and 630 (also Prescott-based) appear to support it, as does the 631 (Cedar Mill). They're all clocked at 3.00GHz so your best bet is to check what CPU-Z says is your exact model.

If you're out of luck and it doesn't support NX, maybe your best bet would be to see what CPUs your board supports then look on eBay for a cheap upgrade, assuming it can take one of the types that have XD support.

The OS on the PC is blue screening for some reason. I will use the disc to repair it
