I know I will see the "disk 0 unallocated space"

Then do I need to format the drive? I wouldn't think so since its brand new, but I've also never done this before.

Next, should I create a partition of the entire size of the ssd?

I have no idea what I'm doing, so please help.

Usually it is recommended to set the controller to AHCI in the BIOS; however, this might require you to load the chipset drivers at the screen where you pick the drive to install the OS on.

Once you see the drive, click on it and click the Next button. Windows will create the required partitions.
