how do i install windows on a new ssd if it came pre-installed on my pc?

I just ordered a new ASUS PC and i want to buy an SSD to use for the OS and some programs. I know that Win 8 comes pre-installed on the system so how would i install it on the new drive without a disk?

After i clone windows onto the ssd are there any settings i should change besides turning off defragging?

windows 8 detects ssd's and uses TRIM instead (optimize hard drive) .. that's why it's called "optimize and defragment" now...
make sure the SATA controller is set to AHCI mode in bios before you start anything.. windows won't boot in IDE mode from a ssd... (i mean if it was installed in ahci it wont boot in ide, and ssd's need ahci for trim to work anyway)
