Hello I have a upgraded prebiult Pc with a fx4130 quad core cpu and a new gtx750ti. And recently when ive been baming my PC will just freeze randomly when I play games. For example I will be playing Black ops 3 and mid game my screen will freeze for 35-40 seconds and resume like nothing happened. That botherred me alot so I quit playing it and tried to play some Skyrim the other day and every time i'd try to do something it would freeze up. Specifically when I tried to go to the menus. When these things happen usually a short bit of audio would repeat. Like if I was firing my gun in Black ops it would be that noise constantly. Or sometimes i'd be in a Skype call and i'd hear their voice over and over. If I were to buy a cpu like the fx6350 or 6300 would that fix these problems. Also could my hard drive be to blame. My hard drive seems to be very slow at times. Im not sure what brand it is or anything. Also how easy would it be to switch all my stuff from one hard drive to another.

Solution

There's your problem. Find out what process is pegging the disk (svchost?).

If it's running out of RAM and swapping things out to disk, that can cause a massive slowdown as well.

Hey dudeman hows it goin in dude world. Sorry I had to but it says my disk is %100 percent health at a good temp.

Seems like either RAM or HDD related. Since you've tested your HDD with a positive result then you're left with the RAM possibility.

Try using one stick at a time or in case you have more than 2, take one out and try playing your games and see if it stops the issue, if it does, then you'll know which one is defective.

Yeah my disk is pinned at %100 whenever it happens.

Okay will so just play a game like usual and have my processes open at the same time. I will try and find time to do that tonight.

So I did that and there was a process thats called like wscappx 2 or something along those lines and I ended that and it slowly went down to like %20 usage for a few hours and then i got off.
