How do I know if my motherboard is compatible with my hard drive?

First time building a computer:
I'm looking at getting this mother board:

ASUS P8Z77-V LX Intel 7 Series Motherboard - ATX, Socket H2 (LGA1155), Intel Z77 Express, 2400MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA III (6Gb/s), RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, CrossFireX Ready (P8Z77-V LX)

yes, the only thing is that the drive is SATA II and if you want your drive as a boot drive you should consider a SATA III which your motherboard supports. (not much money anyways) you might even find a better price.
