Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z97X-SLI-CF (SOCKET 0)

Motherboard Webpage: http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-Z97X-SLI-rev-10#ov

Old RAM (Works in computer when alone): 4 GB DDR3/1600 Mhz memory

New RAM: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C53GZFY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My motherboard has 4 slots for ram, and I'm using two, and I want to use the other two. I put in the new RAM and the computer won't start up. Is it a simple compatibility issue with the motherboard? My motherboard is a bit old, so I hope I don't have to replace it to be up to date with current RAM.

Solution
You should try to use new RAM alone without the old RAM, I dont really know if a PC would work with 3 sticks of RAM.
Also, the way the ram is does matter so there should always be an open slot between each RAM stick.
