How do I make Drive Manager stop wasting my SSD space?

I was messing with disks for an unrelated reason and noticed that I have almost 100GB of unallocated space on the SSD with my OS. Usually, you can just press "extend" after right-clicking, but it won't let me.

Here is a video link showing what I am talking about. I've also diagramed below the blocks displayed in disk manager. If you can please help, I would appreciate it.

you cant extend because there is a 450MB partition between the C and the unallocated space... Empty space needs to be right after C to extend

Perhaps it's more work than you may care to engage or is worth the work just to acquire that particular partition as judging from your clip it isn't 100 GB's but 1.00GB

Yeah, that seemed to have no place. Would I be able to do a two-step clone? The first would be the OS block over to a separate 1TB I have lying around, and then from there back to the same SSD after formatting it. . . . Hopefully, there is a simpler solution, but I don't know about it if there is. Have any ideas?

[J]udging from your clip it isn't 100 GB's but 1.00GB

No, look at the to block on the right - 86.56 GB. Along with the other chunks, that 88 GB. I just rounded up to 100.

Ok got it. I'm not sure but am inclined to think if you transferred the data on the 450m drive (to back it up), then cleared it of any data, you could first extend to the unallocated 86G's and then extend that new drive to the 610GB drive.

I should have mentioned that "Help" is the only option that displays when right-clicking the blocks on either side of the main Windows block (360 MB on the left and 450 MB on the right). So there is no apparent way to clear the data on either of those blocks that I can see.

Got it ... the reason I believe based on what I recall... meaning double check my opinion... is that the drive in question is formatted in FAT32 and Win7 disk management doesn't allow for a number of options that would otherwise have been available to you had the disk been NTFS which is why you can only get "help" when right clicking the partitions.

Perhaps another software will ?? don't know. Otherwise check on what's involve in converting the drive to NTFS but I strongly encourage you to make sure all your data is backed up on any course of action you take.

Is it possible for blocks of the same drive to be different formats? The main Windows block is NTFS. It and the blocks on the far right and far left display a full right-click menu. Only the blocks in question have that "Help" only menu upon right-click.

My understanding though I've never done it is; yes it is possible to have partitions of the same drive in at least Fat32 and NTFS, of course that may vary with hardware and or OS's. Another possibility to your objective as I understand it would be to format all partitions in the NTFS (admittedly I'm clear which is which in your case) that in turn would enable the full range of commands in the windows disk management prog and allow you to expand or shrink a partition without having to resort to the purchase or installation of third party software.

Of course as you well know regardless of the approach have everything solidly backed up just in case.
