I have a GTX 1060 6GB OC edition but I dont know how to overclock it I tried before when I first got it but then games just crashed when I launched them so I reset it back to default and its still there

Solution
those cards arent overclockable, it got only 6pin PCI-E power plug, which limits overclock by alot
1060s that can be overclocked need to have 8pin PCI-E power plug

here u can see my old 1060..even tho this one is 3GB variant, it shouldnt matter (as far overclock goes) and ofc it had 6pin pci-e

it was hitting power limit really hard and still couldnt get decent performance from it (gpu had headroom, but board limits it)

edit: almost forgot, this much performance was obtained by undervolting and...

I find it a moot point to overclock GPUs since the GeForce 10 as they "self-overclock" via GPU boosting. And depending on the cooler, they often boost further than what's advertised on the box. You can try to push the limits more, but even then it's still like single digit percentages of improvement for a casual run and just barely tipping double digits if you go through the effort of modding and fine tuning.
