How do I overclock my FX 6300 on this Motherboard.

This mobo has a tdp of 95 watts and my cpu is 95 watts can I even overclock on this motherboard.

Recommend a cheap motherboard with good ram speeds and good ocing looking at gigabyte 990 ud3

thats a good budget 990fx board, very solid, if ur looking for budget oc boards, the gigabyte 970a ud3p/ud3 has the higher end vrm design at $100 or less. It really is the only 970 board i would buy for decent overclocking other than a 990fx board that isnt made by biostar or ecs lol

Most to any current board will be able to run ram at the speeds their listed at, most amd board run stock 1333 or 1600 without an oc, which isnt much of an oc. Anyway every board defaults ram to 1333, so if u buy 1600 set the ram to 1600 and dont worry after that. With higher speed ram like 2133+, u may have to attempt to use the xmp profile, my friend has 2400 gskill sniper on an asrock 970 board and when set to 2400 it wont boot, but the xmp profile works just fine, and same for his brothers 1866 ram on his apu and thats on a $60 asus board, so ram shouldnt effect ur purchase

From what i can see on newegg, the 990fx ud3 is the best budget board for 990fx that i would buy or it'd be the asus m5a99fx, and for 970 surely the gigabyte ud3/ud3p and if on a real budget, lower than the gigabyte 970 ud3 the asus m5a97 r2
