How do I overclock my hard drive?

It's funny how many of you are trying to be funny by saying that you're going to overlock your mouse when in fact it's possible by overklocking the polling rate.

Yes everybody listen to this guy he knows what he is doing I used the same method and now my laptop boots in 12 seconds my write speeds have gone through the roof nearly 900 MB/s not to mention the 1.2 GB/s read speeds.

 
What the OP has asked is actually a very interesting and valid concept, i'm sure there is probably a way to do it, but to do it and then have a working drive? Im not too sure about that.
 
I agree, actually when I first saw this thread. Overclocking a hard drive from say, 7200RPM to 10,000 or so would be pretty interesting.

But the way drives are made, even modifying the engine to spin just one more time per minute (7201rpm) would destroy the drive and any content written on it.
