SOME HOW, WHILE TRANSPHEREING FILES AND/OR SOFTWARE OVER TO MY NEW PATRIOT 64 GIG, IT BECAME " WRITE PROTECTED ". HOW DO I REGAIN CONTROL SO I CAN FORMAT IN DOS FAT 32 ?? I AM NOW " LOCKED OUT "

If the problem is the PATRIOT 64 GIG, has become write protected and there is no tiny switch on it to disable write protect then the probability is that you are the proud possessor of a fake memory stick from China. Try and return the stick to where you bought it from. You did not specify the exact model as Patriot make a number of models. The reason that the stick became write protected as you filled it up was that you exceeded its true capacity and corrupted the memory sticks firmware. This is a very common problem, Google "fake memory stick"
