How do I repair Windows with the ISO file?

rgd1101 suggested using the Windows ISO image thingy to repair my corrupt install in a previous thread.

How should I go about doing this? What are the steps I should take, and how do I make sure to keep all my files and programs?

This is for Windows 10. Version 1703, build 15063.413.
