How do I replace a Hard drive with a new one?

So I just bought a WD cavair Blue and I opened up the Disk Management and it DOES show up as Disk 1.
What I want to do is REPLACE my old hard drive with this new one and completely disconnect the old hard drive from my computer.
So how do I transfer Windows 8, all my programs, and all my media from my old hard drive to this new one?

WD might have included cloning software with the new HDD.

there is a free version of acronis for wd hdds.works slicker than snot on a doorknob.its free,just clone your old hdd to the new one and you are good to go.
