How do I reset BIOS to default with constant black screen?

For a few weeks now, I've been experiencing BSOD every time I play a game that requires a lot from the system or if I run Microsoft Security Essentials. About halfway through the scan it gives BSOD.

According to online sources, it was some malware and people suggested Malwarebytes. It found quite a lot of content to delete so it did but the BSOD kept persisting. I also tried CCleaner and it also cleared temporary files and such, but I still got the same errors.

I went to the last resort of reinstalling windows. After installing all the drivers I ran a Microsoft Security Essentials scan and it gave the same error. Note that I have not formatted my other drives, which leads me to believe that that's where the problem might be.

I thought the problem would be from BIOS somewhere, due to some fan problem (never did overclock or stuff like that). I accidentally set the display option to Manual or VGA (I can't remember exactly) and ever since I have constant black screen, but the system works perfectly. I can hear the Windows start-up music playing, and if I press F2 it enters BIOS since I do not hear any music playing.

I have an ASUS Z97-K Motherboard, and it enters into EZ BIOS menu, from which I could press F 5 to reset to default BIOS settings and then F10 to save and exit. I wonder though if it will ask me whether I am sure in which case would a simple enter button work to make the screen work again

Have you tried plugging the monitor in to the board's integrated GPU port to get a signal to it
(or is that the only GPU your system has)?

I haven't although I am not sure if I have one, I just searched the internet for the motherboard but cannot seem to find an integrated GPU port. (I am currently away from home so I cannot check directly). I have a GPU: AMD Radeon 6800 Series if memory serves, can't tell which model exactly. Which one would the integrated GPU port be according to this link?:

Sorry for not knowing some (probably) basic stuff.

I've already checked the motherboard specs and it definitely has an integrated GPU otherwise I wouldn't have suggested using it.
In the manual scroll down to sections 1-13 & 1-14 (Rear Panel Connectors). All the I/O ports are shown on those pages.

You are my hero! Thank you so much for helping me out with this one! Would you also happen to have a hunch as to why I am still getting BSOD whenever I run Microsoft Security Essentials scan or play games that require a lot from the PC?

Not too hot on BSODs but you might want to test for hardware causing them (HDD & RAM). Test them both:

HDD test: download CD image of DFT, create CD from it & boot your PC from it:

RAM test: download CD image of Memtest, create CD from it & boot your PC from it:
http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

If nothing wrong with either of those, I suggest you start a new thread to stimulate fresh interest.
Mention that RAM & HDD have been tested and are OK.

I doubt it, all my hardware except the GPU are relatively new, about 7 months old, with absolutely no problem up to the last couple of weeks when the BSOD started. I will run the tests though once I get home, thanks again!
