since I built my new computer and put my old SSD and hard drive into it, task manager does not have applications and processes separated, which is quite annoying. I cannot find anything in the settings to change this, please help?

Not quite sure what you mean by this. What are you trying to do or see?

If you mean like this, you would click the "more details" in the bottom left to see 'more details' . This display version is only found in Windows 10, which may also be a issue for you as you can't just move W10 to a new machine (see below) normally, and if you did have a edition that could 'move' you still need to call MS prove the hardware change, because W10 going forward licensing is based on the actual hardware it runs on, and will '30Days to purchase a Legal Copy" if it detects a significant hardware change and you didn't call into MS to update their License.

Now I do have a 'dumb' question. When you built your new computer and moved the old HDD and SDD, the copy of Windows the OLD computer had installed, was the old computer and that copy of Windows from HP, Dell, etc? If so you can't just move it and no call to MS will help, because per the terms of OEM License, it is tied to the OLD HARDWARE ONLY. Meaning that edition of Windows can ONLY be used on the old machine, old machine catches fire oh well buy another copy of Windows then. As in this case you would as well have to buy a new copy of Windows and install it clean to ensure no further degradation (hiccups / problems) trying to Frankenstein the OEM copy into a Off the Shelf (OTS) copy of Windows.

I accidentally selected USAFret's answer as the solution, can I somehow reverse this?

@tom tancredi yes, that's what I meant, I do have more details, and it used to be exactly like that, but now it isn't. it's all in one big list now.

both my computers are custom built, and in the old one is now a new SSD with windows as well. that should be legal, right?
