[SOLVED] how do i set my computer to use the normal amount of cores

I have a CPU with 4 cores and 2 is the normal amount used (2 used 2 back-ups) but when I go to run dialog and open msconfig and check use original boot configuration my cpu (core) amount changes to 1 instead of the normal 2 i need help changing this back so i can use my normal 2 cores again

Dont touch msconfig. Put everything back to default.

Did you change the CPU recently?? If you did go into the BIOS and set it back to default settings. Then reconfigure the settings / save settings

Then reboot
