How do I set up a ethernet network with 2 computers?

1st plug in ethernet cable into each computer network port and connect the other end of each cable to a port on the back of router.
Click on Start menu and than go to control panel.
Select network connection and click on network setup wizard .
Choose the type of network and enter in "ethernet " for the "workgroup" field.
Repeat the procedure on all network computers.
Restart the computer to complete the network.
