Question How do I set up the MSI Z370 motherboard?

I just purchased one of these, can you tell which cables and connectors and everything I need to use it? I will put an i5 processor in it

The PSU will have the needed power connections. Make sure it's a good one. Motherboard comes with at least 2 , sometimes 4 sata data cables.You really shouldn't need anything else unless you buy an unlocked CPU. Then you will need a cooler too.

ok thanks, will my old AMD fx 4300 cpu work in this mobo?

NO it won't . you need an 8th Gen Intel CPU for it to post out of the box. Example >i5 8400

ok, am I able to test that the mobo functions correctly without a cpu installed or RAM? I bought the mobo second hand and need to test it before I spent £200 on a cpu

Nope , wait till you have everything before trying to post. Only at that time will you know if the board is viable.
