Question How do I stop preview builds being installed on my computer?

I don't want these updates at all, because it doesn't add anything to the value of Windows 11, because they're essentially beta in all but name

AFAIK, I'm not signed up to the insider program, which is even weirder, because all the tips of stopping this is to sign out of the program , and I haven't really asked for this, and it sometimes download and installs on its own accord, without me knowing

If you're talking about something like this:

Then make sure "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" is set to "Off." AFIAK, there's no way to keep Windows from offering these preview updates, but it won't be installed unless it's rolled out to everyone on the next Patch Tuesday.
