I make a long story short:
..So I finished my new build 9600K. My old CPU 3570K still runs well, then I thought about overclocking it seriously.
after researching some youtube videos, I ventured to overclock it. As luck could have it, I managed to get the chip booted up at 4.9GHz. Then I ran AIDA64 and observed 2 of the cores soared up to 103 and 102 degrees. I terminated the test immediately.
I know that the industrial recommendation for Intel CPU is below 85 degrees. How do I tell if my beloved 3570K has been damaged or not?
