How do I undervolt a FX 8320 on a M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard?
^ You don't, you place that processor into a motherboard that ha s beefy VRM heatsink strapped on top of a capable VRM on a motherboard.

What is you case and cooling setup?

FX systems are all but obsolete today.
You can buy a stronger cpu,motherboard, and 16gb of ram for under $250.

For heat issues, open up the case and direct a fan at the motherboard.

I suppose an easy fix would be to go into windows power options and set the max cpu performance down from 100% to say 95% and see if that helps.
Past that, do not spend anything on the rig unless it can be carried forward to a new build.

I have a icue h100i RGB pro xt liquid cpu cooler pulling air into the corsair 275r airflow case from the top through the rad and a 120ml fan to extract the air in the back. I just wanted to know if i can undervolt the cpu so i dont burn out anything . I have a fx 6300 to use incase i cant use the fx 8320 safely
