How do I update patches to install Skyrim on Windows 8?

Hello,

I'm trying to install Skyrim on new Samsung series 7 gamer laptop , operating windows 8. as soon as disc is inserted , disc spins , then get grinding noise coming from cd drive, have tried installing a 2nd new copy of game , same results ,

What error are you getting when you try to load Skyrim? Have you been able to install other games on your laptop using the DVD drive? If not, it could be a problem with the drive itself.

You might also have luck attempting to run setup.exe manually from the DVD by right-clicking it, then selecting "Run as Administrator".

Skyrim works on 8 its not Windows 8

Sounds like your drive is fussy with that kind of disk...
