Does anyone know how to update the bios on Asus Z97-AR motherboard? I can't find out how from anywhere online, including their website. I'm having Asus Anti-Surge problems when I alt+tab out of games and I heard that updating to the newest bios would help that problem. I have a 1000-watt corsair power supply and a surge protected power conditioner so I really don't think that's the problem. Thanks in advance for the help!

Solution
You can use EZ update utility via windows or directly update it in the BIOS (Which i recommend with this method).
Before you go and update, go into the BIOS and check your current BIOS version. The latest for your motherboard is verison 2012.
Once you downloaded the file, you need to extract the CAP file into a USB.
Then go into the BIOS. Enter in Advanced mode if you haven't already, go to Tool tab and select EZ Flash Utility. Find the BIOS CAP file then proceed to install it.
Do not turn off power during BIOS flash.
You have to download the ASUS EZ update utility for your specific motherboard and OS. It looks like they updated it on 01-05-15.

You can find it here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z97AR/HelpDesk_Download/

Follow the instructions they give and you should be able to update.

Solution
I had a power surge problem with the Asus Z97-AR and tried numerous things. That big multi-pin power cable to the motherboard was not properly seated. I pressed it in firmly and have not had a problem for about a week (it used to happen about once or twice an hour.)
