So I was randomly playing video games last night and my PC just black screens with fans running SUPER loudly (louder than anything I've ever heard, was actually worried my PC was going to explode)
I got scared and shut off the PC. Tried to boot it up again and fans start spinning normally and LEDs are turning on however monitor says "No Display Signal detected"
Double checked the cables as well.
The next morning I bought my entire PC to Microcenter and got a free consultation. The technician there swapped my GPU with a test one from their lab and the monitor managed to boot. That's all they did.
I guess what I'm wondering if it's possible that it can be just a bad cable on my end since the Microcenter tech did not use my cables that I bought along (He only swapped GPUs to test whether the monitor boots)
Should I bring my entire PC there again and ask for another GPU swap test with my cable this time? What about just bringing the GPU alone to test it in their unit system.
What can I do to confirm it's 100% my GPU that's dead and causing my system not to boot ?
