How do you know if the attachment points (screw holes) line up from the board to the case? That info is covered no where....

Look at the supported motherboard types...that will tell you what will line up when you go to install the motherboard. Most mid size and full tower cases will support 95% of whats out there motherboard wise

Standard size is ATX which is a standard spacing all motherboards and cases follow. Smaller boards such as miniATX usually fit over only some of the holes.

ATX is ATX. If it fits, it will line up. Of course, depending on what case you use. If you're attempting to reuse an old PackardBell case....you might be out of luck.

Unless the motherboard decided to go off standard, that's part of the size standard specifications. Full atx, matx, mini itx etc follow form factors which describe the typical size of the board, screw mounting pattern and so on. You might find a board like gigabyte's z97x gaming 5 that's listed as a full atx but is a little narrower and so doesn't reach the furthest screw holes near the right side of the board. The rest of the standoff's line up properly though.
