How do you package lots?

I have some lots that I would like to save and move to other neighborhoods
(like the lots that are uploaded to the EA site). For example, I have an
unplayed Pleasant house on one computer that I would like to move to a
neighborhood that I have created on a second computer. The Sims book seems
to indicate that this can be done, but I need a more detailed instructions
on how to. Where do I go for this?

In the Neighborhood view, click on the house you want to package. You will
see an asterisk in the pop up block. Click on that and choose "package lot
to file." After it's done it (takes a while), exit the game and you will
find the lot in the PackagedLots folder in EA Games/Sims2 inside My
Documents. Just double click on it (as many times as you want to) and it
will be in your Lot bin when you open the game again and be available for
any neighborhood. You can also package the lots with the family still
inside the house if you want to duplicate that family in another
neighborhood.

Thank you! I'm now going to go and package some houses and burn a cd of
them. If I get smart, once I make a new sim house, I'll just package them
immediately so they are available if I want to retry them.
