It's just uncomfortable for me. I'm looking around for buttons mid-game and just end pressing the button I'm looking for on the controller. On shooters (if you've seen my thread from the other day, you may know what's coming) is about the same as on a console once I take up sensitivity to account for no aim assist. I'm objectively better in more cases with a controller than a m/kb. I have tried to use m/kb, but always end up ditching it for something I find more comfortable and where the buttons are laid out for me

naa man its just whatever you grow up with, when i was a little kid like 5 years old i always played games on PC, Mouse keyboard was so easy, even though i had small hands, i would sit there all day and play. they when i was like 10 i got a PS2, and after that i never touched pc, and Now i cant play anything on PC , its so annoying after you play with controller. Now i have a ps3 and ps4, and i just love it.

I keep trying with m/kb cause I see the merits sometimes, but my aim is so off with it and my movement. Been using controller for 15 years, with a little bit of PC right at the beginning (racing games and city builders) because I wasn't aware/motivated enough to know how to or use a controller on PC

Yet there is no real question... You put your left hand on the keyboard and your right hand on the mouse. And you push the buttons and move the mouse. That's it. The button layouts for most games are the same/similar and you can always go into the settings and set them the way you want. No reason to be looking down after you've played for 10 minutes. other than that "practice"

If you don't like it then just use the controller. If you are better with the controller use the controller. Just realize you'll be at a disadvantage.

you simply need more practice. m/k are on orders of magnitude more precise and accurate than "console-like" controllers.

otherwise if you choose to play games like battlefield or counter strike with a controller, prepare to be owned no matter how much practice and skill you have.

Have tried m/kb since February 2014 (on the rare occasions I decide to play PC shooter). Cannot do it. Changed my keyboard and mouse to something that was actually built for gaming. Feels really awkward to use a m/kb and I can barely aim. Give me a controller (I whack the sensitivity right up) and, yeah I still die a lot, but I can actually track the enemy properly/better in a number of cases and get kills. I can also engage in firefights (CQB and long range) and not get myself killed and string together instructions properly/more consistently than with m/kb

OTOH, mouse some times feels more accurate, but it takes me an age to aim up with one. They feel really uncomfortable at a desk when trying to game on them (like they're the worst input device I could have at that time). I remember earlier this year spending ages trying to get a good seating position, but still my hand did not like using the keyboard. Guess for now, I will stick with the console shooters (or just get AW, Titanfall and some others I can't remember where I can be competitive with a controller on PC) where I can own with a controller when on my game or just do decently if I'm off. Outside of that though, will probably have the odd reattempt at m/kb gaming. Just need to renew my PS+ :/
