How do you turn the MSI z170 PC MATE on?

Title, I'm building the pc out of the case first so would like to know, so i can test if my parts are working.

Shortening the 2 power pins for the power switch is your solution

How am I meant to tell which one is the power switch?

From what I found the only thing it shows is using the power button on a case. I checked the contents but all of it is words I don't understand

Look at your motherboard, where where you normally plug in the power switch of the case. There you just shorten the power + and power - with e.g. A screwdriver for a moment and your board will boot, if all other power plugs and parts are connected correctly.
