This is my first time ever building a PC and I wanted to get confirmation that everything will work well together. I will be using this computer for primarily gaming, mainly on FPS's like BF3 and up coming titles such as Crysis 3 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Do you guys think that this PC would be able to BF3 on the highest settings and still be able to reach above 60 FPS to take advantage of the 120hz monitor? My budget is round about the £1700-1900 mark so if you would like to recommend other parts that you think would increase my FPS within First person Shooters then it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply guys. Hellfire, is the extra fan for the case and the CPU really necessary? I was watching a review on the i5 3570K and the guy said that if you aren't going to overclock it then stock fan would be fine. I have no idea how to overclock and I don't really intend to, unless I really have too. Do you still think the extra fan and CPU fan is a must? Cheers.

first,overclocking is 100% safe,performance boost if done properly.there are a bunch of guides on internet.3570k has a lot of overclocking potential and it's worth overclocking.i would suggest give it a try.
or you can ask any of your friend who knows how to do these things.
if not then you should get a non "k" cpu and a cheaper h77 motherboard.

Stick with the K processor and Z77 mobo incase you do want to OC later. The stock HSF is fine for stock settings. Just get an aftermarket HSF later if you do decide to OC.

The case has a lot to do with personal preference, so pick one you like and someone here can tell you if there is anything majorly wrong with it.

gigabyte windforce x3 is one of the best gx 670 out there.

they are optimized to overclock.you can run BF3 with stock clocks but you can always boost your performance with some overclocking.

Cheaper doesn't always mean that the PSU is lower quality. There are lots of good quality PSUs out there. For dual 7970s, a Corsair TX750 V2 will run them with both OCed.

Ahh okay, thanks for the information on the GPU and the PSU. I had a quick read of the article on the asus GTX 670 and they seem to rate it highly. And it's for £20 more.

Btw, do you know if they do the PSU you are recommending in a modular form? A buddy of mine told me that I should get a modular PSU.

i am a big DCII fan but the reason it performs so good is it's clocks,you can always overclock gigabyte 670 to match/beat DCII 670.

When I was purchasing a PSU for my rig the guy at microcenter told me to get a non-modular one. That's why I ended up with an Antec HCG620W.

Simple as this, he always gets customers who lost their modular cables and need to come back and spend another $20 for them.

I'm perfectly pleased with my modular PSU, it helped with cable management, which helps with air flow. I would definitely pay a little more for modularity (for both form and function).
