Hey guys so i have recently just upgraded a few parts on my pc including a new power supply and graphics card. Now the case i currently have has virtually no cable management or airflow due to the case being prebuilt and having a proprietary power supply, so im currently running the pc with no side panel to cool!. Now i really think its time for a new case and motherboard and i wanted your guys opinions on what you think about this build and if it would work for me.

What im looking for
A very cool computer and somewhat quiet (sound doesn't matter too much to me)

What i have
Stenley 750 watt modular psu
GTX 980 ti lightning edition
i7-4770 cpu (LGA 1150)
Stock intel cpu cooler
2TB hdd & 1TB hdd (not looking to upgrade to ssd's)
16 GB ram 2*6gb 1*4gb
Cheap disk drive

What i want
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Mid Tower Gaming Case
MSI Intel Z97 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard
& probably just like a hyper evo 212 if i decide to upgrade that

What do you guys think let me know and is everything compatible and would work for me?

I second everything said...
1. no IFs, you should already have invested in an after-market cpu cooler. IMO 212 evos used to be popular, but now there are better alternatives for price-to-performance like the Cryorig H7.

2. the case is fine.

3. You don't want a new motherboard because Windows is bound to your motherboard, so if you switch motherboards, you have to use a new boot drive and install a clean copy of Windows. The only time you buy a new motherboard is if you're committed to an all-in-one upgrade via cpu+motherboard+ram+ssd upgrade together as a package.

4. you want a ssd asap for your boot drive. the performance difference between an ssd and hard drive is like driving a car versus riding a bicycle on the highway.

I second everything said here. We're talking about an Acer, right?
