Just looking for some advice. How do all these parts look?

-Phanteks Eclipse P400S Tempered Glass Satin Black
-Intel Core i5 7400
-MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 3GB
-Corsair TX550M 550W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
-ASUS ROG Strix B250F Gaming Motherboard
-Kingston SSDNow A400 120GB SSD
-Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler
-Kingston HyperX Fury HX421C14FB2K2/16 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Black

According to PCPartPicker all these components are compatible. And yes, I know that the CPU cooler is overkill but at least its future proof this way. Here are some questions I have:
-Is that PSU enough for this build? Should I get a stronger/weaker one?
-Is it worth paying an extra $50 or so for the 1060 6GB version?
-Am I forgetting anything?

Solution

Yes, it's fine. EVGA 550W G3 is just about the same as far as quality. It is a little more popular. They both have a 7 year warranty. You picked a good PSU.

Upgrade is worth it.
1. it's enough, great choice anyway, as it's a tier 1 GPU (https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/)
2. worth it!! as the price is so volatile right now, getting a 6GB variant for only 50$ more is really worth it, although, if the 3GB u're getting now is already well above 300$, i rather step down to the 1050ti as it's not really worth it... 😱
3. u forgot that Ryzen exist as intel counterpart that offers cheaper price/performance (pay less for more core/thread count, u also get a free cooler, and all their CPU is unlockable)
also, r u sure u won't need a HDD on a gaming PC? (except if u already had it in your previous build or something)
it's a great build actually, but against what Ryzen offers in terms of price/performance (especially for multitasker like streamer etc) i rather go with Ryzen / if u're team blue, wait for coffelake, they gonna need a new motherboard chip (the 3XX mobo)

-Is that PSU enough for this build? Should I get a stronger/weaker one? Yes. No.
-Is it worth paying an extra $50 or so for the 1060 6GB version? 100% YEs. I easily exceed 3GB VRM with higher end titles and have been for a while.
-Am I forgetting anything?[/quotemsg] Do you have the OS?

If you're going to spend that much on a motherboard it should also allow for OC'ing. MSI - Z270-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard I see you have a non-K CPU. THat's today. You still have an upgrade path that can include the K.

Overclocking is difficult. No need for it. There is an in-depth tutorial below. It shows how to OC a K CPU on a MSI board.

Open MSI Commend Center. Place check-mark below each core. Increase them to 43. Click apply

I have an OC friendly MSI board. That's exactly what I do to OC. It's gotten much simpler. It is possible to push mine further with more complicated steps. NOPE, there is no guarantees with OC'ing. Some CPUs will OC better than others.

Thank you for all the responses. I have a 2tb HDD so storage probably wont be an issue and i have an OS on a USB
So just to recap... $50 upgrade is worth it and PSU is good, right? (the PSU is the thing i'm most worried/unsure about)

Psu is more than enough , a good 450w will do .But get the 6gb variant of gtx 1060 .it's definitely worth spending extra 50$ .for same price you can get the rysen 5 1600 or r7 1700 (if budget permits).Ssd is the last option if u have extra cash then invest on it
