How does this work?

Powerline adapters usually come with a pair of short (6-8 ft.) ethernet cables, which will be all you need unless your PC or router is far from an outlet.

You'll plug one adapter in next to your PC, run the ethernet cable to your NIC, plug the second one in near your router and run an ethernet cable between them, then sync the two adapters (usually by simply pressing a button on one adapter, then the other). Your specific model will have instructions in the box.

Your PC will treat it like a regular ethernet connection.

Cheers!

Hi, this is a device that uses the electric "stream"(sorry if its not the correct word) as if it was an ethernet cable, both of them come with a little ethernet cable. Its the way to connect your computer via ethernet if you dont want to unfold a cable through the whole house or buy a Wi-Fi PCI card that wont give the whole connection that you have in your home.

I recommend you the devolo one (don't know if i can put links from other webs but... sry if i can't) http://www.amazon.com/ZyXEL-Powerline-Gigabit-Wall-plug-PLA4225KIT/dp/B0061308MA/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1429635438&sr=1-1&keywords=dlan

Or maybe a D-Link DHP-W311AV, WiFi, 500 Mbps

TP-LINK its not a bad choice because its cheaper but if you want a good quality one take devolo or D-LINK

Hope i helped you 😀
