Hi.

I'm planning on building a gaming PC for christmas but as I've been scanning around PCPartPicker, I've discovered the high prices of motherboards.

Planning on getting either an i5 or AMD A8.

I understand that I don't need to consider the overclocking capabilities and crap, but what do I need to know? I'd just like the cheapest motherboard that I can buy for the cheapest possible.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I'm planning on going for £400 for the time being, but upgrading later on. I'll consider trying that :)

I5 beat a8 everytime no mater what the extra mony invested in an i5 is well worth it. and there are alot of cheaper mobo's out there you have no need to go the the most expensive one you just need a quality board. thats all

Thanks :)

You wouldn't happen to know what kind of price this'll come to, or if a £50 is fine, would ya?

My most recent computer build is based on a low priced motherboard, but works really well
I bought the parts from amazon in the UK

Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Don't worry, now you're confusing me 😛 I was just wondering what would be the best Mobo for a reasonable price would be.
It doesn't matter though. I'm good, thanks for your help. :)
