How fast should be?

My internet speed is 3.0 Mbps and im not sure how to convert that into the usual download speeds of the kiloBytes per second? anyone help?

3.0Mbps is 375 kilobytes per second

Try running a speed test and see what you get: http://www.speedtest.net/
The advertised speeds don't necessarily mean you get what they say :-/
