How good is my new PC

My dad recently retired due to ill health and he got me a gaming PC, it has 8GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB, Intel i5 8400 and 1TD HDD. I haven’t got any games yet, but I’m wondering what games will run on this PC and which ones should I get, my dad says I can have £100 worth of games, can I run the new Far Cry game?

I'd think you can run any game what is out there. Not of ULTRA settings, but anything on Medium settings would run well, with a little tweaking.
Far Cry will run fine - see guru3d.com for a great test.

spend a few pound and get a 128GB ssd for the OS

Just another tip about games. If you can register Steam in Asia, you get games up to 75% cheaper than you do with Steam in Europe/US etc.
Also CD key website will offer you better value than most places, you can trust them - just read the reviews.

SSD for your computer would speed it up tremendously
