Hello,

I found something which is maybe can be a problem. I bought a zotac rtx 4080 ti card when i bought 3-4 month i saw my card boost to 2990mhz but the last 4 months i saw only able to boost to 2705mhz and i got less FPS. My friend has the same version this card his card boosting zo 2990mhz without overclocking msi afterburner wont installed.

I had this new nvidia app installed and nvidia geforce experience i deleted it.

I cleaned my PC my gpu when i put 100% load only got 65-70C. What i need to do to get the same clock speeds without overclock in my card?

My specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
Asus X570 TUF Gaming Plus with latest BIOS
4x32GB Gskill Trident Z royal 3600mhz (XMP has the 4000mhz but i use only the 3600 mhz)
Zotac GAMING GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Trinity OC White Edition nVidia 16GB GDDR6X 256bit
Samsung 990 Pro 1TB
Windows 11 Pro (i upgraded from windows 10 pro Retail box version) Clean install i did with the windows 11 i have now 23H2
PSU: FSP Hydro PTM 1200W 80+ platinum PSU.
Corsair H150i Elite LCD XT Water Cooler.

Regarding:

"I cleaned my PC my gpu when i put 100% load only got 65-70C. What i need to do to get the same clock speeds without overclock in my card?"

How was the PC and GPU cleaned?

What PSU does your friend have?

How does your build compare to his build: hardware, software, configuration.... ?

Well i cleaned my pc carefully i not opened a card because its brand new. I just dust off my pc I hold down fans to not spin when I blow out with it dusters product. I had one machine and I dust off. My friend has the exact same setup only he had a ryzen 7 3800x cpu. (Not the 3D variant)

I have another friend who has 4080s aswell but he had am5 platform and I know he got more fps than me.

We both using windows 11 23H2 pro.

My friend has evga go 750w 80+ gold PSU I have FSP 1200w platinum I writes upper.

When I bought the card I raked one photo and my card boosted to 2990mhz as well but now only boost 2700mhz I didn’t touched vga bios but I updated my motherboard bios to the latest it can cause like this? My last bios version from I upgraded is 4203 if I remember correctly

Three things have to be meet for the card to boost, Temps, voltage, and target power.

From what it sounds like you are hitting a temp limit and its slowing down your boost speeds. Try taking the side panel off your case and see if the card temps get better, or if your boost speed goes up. If it does it means your card is starving for cool fresh air and you need to add some fans to help remove the hot air out of the case.

Thanks for the tips i tried its the same my card maximum goes up to 65C, gpu hotspot 75C and memory 73C.
my cpu maximum 70 or 75C. (this is only when i do 100% stress test on CPU).

What is your fan speed set at on the card? Do your fans get to 100%
No never i don't set any fan stuff its the factory default when i whatcing youtube videos or movies fan stop spin but if i play start spin max 30-40% if they need goes higher not loud really quiet card.

You can set a fan profile in MSI Afterburner, for testing set them to 100% and see where your boost speeds go. If that works then you can start to turn them down till you get to that happy place of performance and sound.

My fans are set at 0% at 35* and 100% at 55*, i could care less about the noise.

I use everything factory default i never heard my card 100% of fan speed really quet and cold card i love it but just only this thing boost make me sad. When i play game my vga card mostly 60-63C but if a more performance hog game míy gpu temp maximum 70C.

I have a 10 fan installed my case.
