How Hot Should I Let My i7 940 Get?

Its 90c 2 100c on all four cores load.
I am getting 3.68 Ghz.

What are you using the stock cooler?

Let's see Intel's max recommended thermal spec is 67.9c, I think you can figure out how you are doing.

LOL! That is what i was looking for,
but i had heard 4 Ci7s it was much higher!
Yes stock cooler + 2 more fans cooling that 1.
Can you recommend a better cooler? (Before i burn the cpu up ;-)
