how i make the edge glow??

now i am a complete noob when it comes to photoshop...how do i get the edge of an image to glow in photoshop or paintshop pro ??. similar to the car image below

nah, thats the real deal. Nissan 200SX Model S14a or S15 type aero. very s£xy piece of kit. my mate has an S14a that is a monster! I sadly had to get rid of my S13.

Hi,
I don't know if you have the answer already, but if not here it is:
Open the file you want to glow.
Remove all of the background image so that only the image is left.
Open a new file that is large enougth to drag the glowless image into and make sure the bg is dark or you won't see the effect.
Drag the image onto the new file.
You will see that "layer 1" has now been added to the dialogue box for the new image.
Right click "layer 1".
Choose "Blending options"
Click "outer glow" and select this option (make it blue) to call up the options dialogue for this effect.
Play around with the settings till you get the effect you need.
