How is a an AMD A10-Series Processor for Gaming?

Well, lets assume that you get the A10-5800k. It's right in the middle of the A10 CPU line.

It's a "Quad" core CPU that scores fairly well in benchmarks in CPU performance.

BUT~ Do you plan on using a discrete graphics card? Or are you going to rely on the integrated chip graphics?

i have an a10 procceor and if u gonna use its apu for hard games. like battlefield 3 and more.. it will run at 25-30 fps at medium settings you will also need to buy a new heatsink that rated +100 watt beacuse the box heatsink is weak and will cuse a systeam shutdown tho overheating cpu. from exprinence

its weak for hard games beacuse its uses your pc ram.. 1600 mhz

if you gonna get an grapic card

then i say get cheap strong cpu like amd fx-6300 6-Core 3.5GHz
cost 106 bux at newegg

btw where are u from ?

I got the A10 6800k it's horribe compared to a normal system in 1080p if you play in 720 - 900p like the consoles then you are fine. I banished my A10 6800k to the living room as a htpc, It's great for that.

I tested BF4 and Planetside 2 on an A10 6800K and integrated GPU, it didn't do very well until I threw in a discrete GPU- if you end up going that route you should just get an Athlon with the dedicated GPU. But the A10 will play stuff like Cities: Skyline and CS:GO just fine with its own iGPU.

When you say for gaming, do you mean as a CPU or as both CPU and GPU ?

An 10-7870K overclocked is great for 720p-Low gaming in most titles and absolutely great for 1080p60 maxed out Dota 2, LoL, Team Fortress 2 or Minecraft.
