Hey there guys, I have a friend who wants a hardcore gaming PC but is afraid to break something while building the PC. People have been telling me to get him to use IBUYPOWER. What would be better, using IBUYPOWER or buying the parts and getting a random company to build it for him for like 60$? If IBUYPOWER is the better choice and his budget is 1400 without tax or peripherals, what should he get from IBUYPOWER? he lives in Canada.

Thanks.

Solution
just be careful with pre-build pc's marketed as "gaming" they often load it up with overkill cpu, ram etc, but give you a low end/mid range graphics card which sucks for gaming. I think it would actually be better to select the components and pay the money for someone else to build it, provided you or your friend are comfortable with software installation and setup, which can be just as tricky as building the PC. If not comfortable with loading OS and drivers, and you just want it to work out of the box, then yeah, stick with a prebuild, just look for one with a good graphics card.
