Question How is it possible ? GeForce 2 GTS 32MB (1999) vs ATI mRadeon 5470 (2010?) in RTCW

I can't understand the fact that I encounter FPS drops when playing RTCW (quite old game) on my laptop with mobility radeon 5470. I didn't have this problem on my desktop in 1999 , with Geforce 2 GTS.
What's going on ?

what the cpu on the laptop/desktop?
how much ram on each?

ok. I will check the temps on radeon.

gpu temp on radeon is 75.
that's not so high.
Can the bus width be the reason?
gts had 128bit , the radeon has 64 only

radeon has 512!!!
geforce 2 had 32 : )))
