Below is my build:

GRAPHICS CARD: ASUS STRIX GTX1060 6G GAMING *currently chosen graphics card*
RAM: Geil EVO RGB X 16GB 2400MHZ DDR4 Dual Channel
CPU: INTEL CORE I7-7700 (3.6GHZ) (4 CORES | 8 THREADS)
CASE: Redline Series RL05
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS STRIX B250F GAMING

Tell me, with this build, what better results can I get at gaming, VFX, and etc? And most importantly are these components compatible with eachother, and will run fine with no issues?

Looks nice, but i highly recommend a K processor and Z motherboard for future overclocking, with that, you will need a CPU Cooler.

Also, check Ryzen, maybe it will do the job for cheap price for Photo/Video Editing or Graphic Design.

H270F have better features i'm sure.

About the K CPU and Z motherboard, i think not. But in the future, you can OC it and give a extra boost performance and keep for more time before upgrading.

Hi,
in order to find out if the parts are compatible, you should do 2 things,
a) put it into PcPartPicker. This is the easiest way, however it is not perfect.
b) After doing that I generally follow the steps on this video, but only if I am quite sure I want this build (it can take up to an hour to do)

If you are doing video editing VFX, photo editing or anything else like that, you want Ryzen. Getting a R7 1700 would double your cores and threads, and supports overclocking without an expensive chipset!

Your bottleneck for gaming in this build will be your GPU, and the 1060 6gb is good for Ultra @60fps @1080p

You just mentioned psus with far different quality/performance to each other. EVGA has some crap PSUS and some great ones, please specify. Seasonic has some okay and some very great units, again, specify please. Corsair RMX very good unit, CXM not very good but still good and better than alot of Seasonics lower budget units.

No problem (it isn't really a dumb question, I was just a bit ambiguous) the 1060 6gb is perfect for running most games at ultra at 1080p, while keeping a solid 60FPS

So, as I prefer gaming, as well as workstation more, I'd go with R7 1700, then, since i7 7700 is slightly, a little better than R7 1700 at gaming, and desktop, it'd be better to choose what I want more.

My final question is, the following build (will be compatible with R7 1700)?

R7 1700 is a good CPU, and is fine in terms of reliability. You just need to change out your motherboard and your good to go! Almost any cheap B350 motherboard will do and all B350 motherboards support overclocking! Just consult PCPP (pcpartpicker) for compatibility and after that the compatibility check video I sent you and you will be fine!
