Will this setup support newer games and mods. and is there any where i can save money on this build.

Great choices, however if you can toss in $15 extra then get 4590, provides way higher performance due to higher base and turbo clocks, also that PSU is small for gtx 970, you need at least 500W, so go for evga's 550w supernova, don't go for a 20$ power unit with a 320$ GPU.
