How is the 850 Evo so cheap?

The 850 Evo is super cheap compared to the 850 Pro and has nearly the same IOPS and MB/s ratings. I can't find the answer to this anywhere: HOW!?!?!?

The Pro is (theoretically) built to last longer, and has longer warranty (10 yrs vs 5 yrs).

In actual use, you will never run up against that wear level limit.

Okay. One last thing, would you recommend a Samsung 850 (Pro/Evo) 1TB or a Neutron XT 960GB of a similar capacity? Price is not an issue, my cap is about $1K so either drive would be fine.

I work with high poly count models for animation and design. I plan on having about 2TB of storage (2 1TBs in RAID 0)
