the more the better, but at least 1080

Additional Comments:

i would like a quite PC and if possible a elegant or cool looking case. this computer has to run crisis on ultra 😀

and i believe that is all maybe i forgot somthing but please let me tell me your opinions and i will consider them. Build me a Monster Guys! 😀

I'm sorry, I'm probably being thick headed, but if your running the game off the 1TB drive then aren't you using that drives speed for the game play? I know it runs back and forth between memory first but when it does go to drive won't it be running on the 1TB where it's installed, thereby giving you the TB speed instead of the ssd speed?

Well yes... As I said it depends on where you installed it. But... I don't think you'll notice it that much right? I mean after all if you've been accustomed to HDD speeds then from HDD boot to SSD boot is already a huge difference. So I don't think it's THAT noticeable from HDD game boot.

So if it's not that noticeable then I don't need the ssd? I asking for both the OP and myself. I've been thinking about getting one but I really want some more space but can't reconcile the price being worth it. Especially if you'll hardly notice the difference during game play. I don't mind waiting for the bootup time as long as once I'm there I'm fast.

So load times, meaning boot time? and start up time for the operating system and the game will be quicker, but the game play will not be any different since it's running on the TB drive. And you install the game on the TB drive to save space on the ssd. Am I understanding that correctly? It makes sense.

yeah i think what suteck is asking is will the game itself actually run smoother and faster. like suteck, i dont mind waiting an extra 30 seconds or so for the initial load time.
But once im actually playing the game, would there be much difference in performance there?

I have read many posts that say 4GB's is all you need for gaming, of course when I look at their sig system that all they usually have. But I believe that the 8 would make an improvement in game play as well as some of your engineering programs. But then I run 12 GB's and the only time I see the almost full ram get used is when I'm UN-raring large files or running programs from the virtual drive. Which memory were you talking about using? Was it the 4 Gig stick or the 2 X 2GB sticks? I forget there are so many posts for this build. :pt1cable:

More ram is good only for things like coding (computer program) or archiving as suteck said raring files etc. Umm 8gbs is good i suppose, but won't affect your gaming performance that's for sure. You won't see a noticeable difference. The gaming performance is mostly GPU, sometimes CPU.

@ suteck yeah it was 2x2GB one 4GB stick would not be dual channel and isnt a good idea.
So i guess the better choice is to save me $100 and go with 4GB
My other question would be which ram overclocks better with OC genie Corsair or RipJAw?

Lol if you used 8gbs btw, OC genie actually can't OC it as much as 4gbs. Or so I hear. It really all depends... the better the Corsair (lower timings cooler whatever) or Ripjaw (same idea) the more the OC, usually you'd OC yourself though seeing as once you OC your CPU you OC your memory if it's not unlocked multi.

Why do you use OC genie instead of doing it in bios? Does it go in smaller increments or something? Other than XMP or memory multi with a voltage tweek, depending on the board I'm Building, I don't know how to OC memory is why I'm asking. And I've seen some sys specs on Tom's people's sig's and the good ones seem to be G-Skill. Just make sure they are on the QVL or G-Skill tests it's own memory for compatibility on what works with what board so check their lists.

Well... Both are good I mean OC genie is actually not that bad for an Auto OC button. Back when LGA 1156 just came out and MSI had the GD80 out. The board could already OC the i7 860 from 2.8 to 3.5-3.6 just with a click. It was on a video in Youtube. Just putting it out there. You'd get further though with manual OCing but yeah.... OC Genie isn't too bad.

because ive seen the reviews and tests and OC genie gets it pretty damn near perfect overclock. as in theres not much else you could improve usually. plus to me its easier as i wouldnt have to mess with the bios i just press a button and presto.

thing is about the timing, i noticed a lot of people buy the 9-9-9 1.5V ripjaw and they all say it overclocks like a beast but i dont notice all the same comments when looking at the 8-7-8 version. is it because the 9-9-9 can be made even faster? or?..

It's because timings have no appreciable impact on performance, so in terms of value, the CAS 9 is the sweet spot.

Stock wise, the 8-7-8 is faster, the clocks are lower and so better CL which makes it faster. Faster refresh rate in short. Newegg reviews aren't always correct, I think you should google a review up from an actual site like Tom's or Guru3D or Hardware Canucks. Sometimes those reviews look good, but actual performance is going to fool you. Like people say the Mushkin Deluxe is fast (it is fast) but not as fast as the S599 which is cheaper.

and i have a very important question actually weather or not i need 750W or 850W psu
It will be the Gold series Corsair PSU

ive been trying to use a calculator here:

http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

But i cant figure it out. Basically in the future i want to have support for two high powered graphic cards running in sli/crossfire.

I found a reallly good deal for the 750 but i wanna be sure that it will be enough before i buy it. what do you guys think?

From personal experience (and all I do with PCs is game) here are my suggestions:

Dont bother with SSDs unless you have an unlimited source of income... The difference for load times in a game is not worth the extra loot. Take Crysis as an example. Instead of waiting 12 seconds for a saved game to load from main menu with and SSD it may take 10 seconds... Big Deal. and FPS may increase by a few, seriously like maybe 3... Not worth it..

With the cost of SSD drives you could easily add a 2nd video card or go for a higher end video card to begin with, in which you will experience a huge increase in performance compared to the difference of an SSD and HDD..

Also if you've been thinking about it and esp since you are a novice PC builder save yourself the headaches and don't go for a RAID configuration.. - They are easy enough to set up and get going but there are always little issues and what not that you will be (if you game as much as I do) messing with several times a month, plus the performance gain is minimal..

There are all sorts of Benchmarks out there for HDDs, RAID arrays, and SSDs which show huge differences in numbers and speeds, all sorts of stuff, but what does it mean to you while you are in a game? Nothing really noticable...

Go with a High Performance series 1TB HDD, maybe get a 2nd if you like for media storage and such if you as so inclined.

The 875K is a waste of money. And if you want to overclock you will need an aftermarket cooler like the Hyper 212+. And if your a novice you will never get around (warranty reasons, etc.) overclocking so get the i5 760 it will overclock well and operates great on stock. I would also cut too an HAF 922 I have one and I love it it is so roomy and you will save a few bucks! I also dont think you need an SSD just get two Seagate 500Gb 7200.12RPM drives (they use 500Gb platers) and put them in RAID.
