i would like a quite PC and if possible a elegant or cool looking case. this computer has to run crisis on ultra 😀

and i believe that is all maybe i forgot somthing but please let me tell me your opinions and i will consider them. Build me a Monster Guys! 😀

yeah still not sure of the processor i wont be buying it first thats for sure. right now im trying to decide what psu to get. i want to make sure it is future proof so its either 750W or 850W corsair gold series.

i decided to go with the silverstone raven 2 or upcoming 3 case actually.

and i will get a aftermarket cooler was thinking of the spin Q VT

Read the posts before... We already discussed the things you guys just posted. But whatever. I think your over exaggerating on the SSD. SSD's aren't the price of a 2nd card. Plus SSD's are beneficial to OCers, granted conan isn't going to OC, but BIOS boot and OS startup times decrease by SO much with an SSD. Decreases the time to OC and test stability by a huge amount. It adds up.

Anyway, the SpinQ isn't worth it IMO. Get the Hyper 212+, however I wouldn't think a more efficient cooling for an i7 build is getting the Prolimatech Megahalems. It's a really good cooler and is very well mentioned among OC community. As for your PSU.... How cheap are you getting the Corsairs for. Because you could get a XFX 750 or 850 that is just as good and cheaper by like 50$. 80+ Silver or Bronze is actually good enough, Gold is just a marketing ploy. The 80+ silver is already good enough IMO.

So, how much are you getting the Corsairs for? But with your build, a 750 should be good enough.

137.99 after rebates on the 750w corsair ax. which is pretty good in my book, but im thinking it would be safer to go for a 850w which would be more expensive as amazon doesnt have a sale on them so it would be 185 about.

WOW that's really good deal. Umm if you care to save a bit, here is great PSU (As I mentioned the XFX 750) Only 130$ on the Egg plus a 20$ MIR. XFX is pretty great with customer support plus they have double lifetime warrenty. Oh and it's 80+ silver.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207003&Tpk=750%20XFX

Umm the XFX 850 is WAY cheaper than the AX850. Plus it's just as good and quiet as well. 80+ Silver. Umm It's really great, great reviews. Cheap as well. 150$ plus a 20$ MIR. So total 130$, same price as the 750AX.

Review XFX 850: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/12/10/xfx_black_edition_850w_power_supply_review/9

The 850's conclusion, you'll love the grade they give it.

yeah actually buying that on new egg would cost me more since the tax and shipping adds up. and theres free shipping and no tax on amazon which is where i found that deal.

so its more of a question of do i need more than 750W of power....

heres a better question thats easier to answer...what kind of system build would warrant a 850w power supply?

I believe OC Genie overclocks the memory. As for the PSU, you might as well go with the 1K. It will supply all the power you're looking for until you get into 3 VCards. I would recommend the Cooler Master Silent RSA00-AMBAJ3-US 1000W ATX PSU for $159. Or the THERMALTAKE TRX-1000M TR2 RX 1000W Modular PSU for $200 is probably a better deal. The best one yet Thermaltake TRX-1200M TR2 RX 1200W Modular PSU for only $235 but their willing to let you make an offer so you can probably get it for ~$20 less than that! Any of those should give you plenty of power to do the things you want.

I found this on the OC Genie posted as features on one of the MSI boards "OC Genie MSI’s OC Genie combines push-button and dedicated overclocking processor to offer easy and quick overclocking. Just push the OC Genie button, OC Genie processor will automatically detect the best overclocking setting including CPU clock, CPU voltage, memory clock and memory voltage, and boost system performance in one second. No software or complicated BIOS tweaking required". Just thought I pass that on since it's been brought up a time or two.

Since you want to future proof your PC and you are unsure of your power requirements play it safe and get a decent 80+ certified 1000Watt PSU..

Is it over kill? yeah but if you have enough power or not and/or will you have enough power for upgrades will no longer be a concern, your electric bill may be tho, if u care about that. A Good PSU can last you years and you will already have that component once you scrap this PC and build your next one, and the one after that. - In 5 years the only component currently inside of my PC that I will still be using without a doubt is my PSU...

Not that my other components wont last, I just may feel like upgrading..

Just my thoughts on it.

Also.. I'd suggest a Full Tower, more room, better airflow, more options, easier to hide your wires and make it look "pretty" inside. Why not?

i see well in that case i can buy a pre overclocked gpu.

and im thinking of silverstones raven2 or 3 case #2 is full tower.

i do care about my electric bill even though we are going solar 😛
i think 850 should be fine though
