Hi all, I'm fairly new to building computers from scratch, so I thought I'd go ahead and post what I am thinking of putting together. All comments/suggestions would be appreciated:

Case: CoolerMaster Elite 330 ATX
CPU: Q6600 G0 2.4GHZ
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Ultra120 eXtreme + S-Flex fan
PSU: Corsair 520W HX series
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P
Memory: OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz 4-4-4-15
Graphics Card:BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC2 512mb (675/1674/1950mhz: core/shader/memory clock speed)
Hard Drive: Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB

Extras:
Monitor: LG L1953S TFT Monitor
DVD: LG GSA-H55NBAL 20x + LG GDR-H30NBL
Mouse: Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
Keyboard: Microsoft Black Wired PS/2 Keyboard 500
Speakers: Logitech X-230 2.1

The total system price is £898

My concerns were whether I should get a Creative sound card, and whether the 520w psu is enough?
I would also like to overclock this system to around 3/3.2GHZ, so would this setup be ok for that?
Thanks in advance
Jin

Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)

thats a solid system , and yes Corsair 520 is enough for it (even if u OC), however OCZ STEALTHXSTREAM 600W is a very good PSU too, u might want to consider it
Also if u can, go for the P35 DS3R , it has better cooling than DS3P

Dont change anything else, it looks solid

That build is fitted flawlessly, you won't be disappointed by the components.

You sure you don't want to wait until Q1 of 2008 for the new Intels?

Sounds interesting! Do you know what spec these Intels are? Thanks for the responses by the way. I've decided to go for the OCZ STEALTHXSTREAM 600W and DS3P as suggested because they save me money as well as having slightly better reviews in all.
