How long do IPS LCD screens last?

Hi all

I've come across german site offering 4yo Dell U2413f monitors for 119 € and I'm wondering if they are worth buying. What is the life expectancy of Dell monitors? I own 10 yo HP LP 2475w monitor and is still working without any problem, Can I expact the same from Dell? Thanks for your answers.

Dell lcds should last a long time but like anything else things break even though they should last.

Is there no known expected maximum life span for IPS panels?

IPS panels should have nicely long lifespan... I have two, new one has 9453hrs runtime, old one has 26068hrs, neither one seems to have any faulty subpixels so far. If that puts you in a perspective... But bear in mind, it's mere electronics, not pyramids ;-)
