how long does an external wifi adapter live actually?

i saw on ebay the Netgear A6200 adapter and i would like to buy it.
the thing is its labeled as "used". ive asked the seller what does it means and he said it means that its old and he doesnt know how old exactly. 58 people already bought it from him though.
now, i know the A6200 is out for somewhat two years.

should i buy it? how long do you reckon does it live all in all?

Depends on the environment its been in and how ell its been made. I'd expect at least 5 years life.

Yeah - you never know. Could be 1 hour. Could be 10 years.
