mine is really slow, its been 30mins and still around the 2% =p

Depends on how much data there is. In our corporate environment, it usually takes less than 10-15 minutes. I'm sure you have more crap than we have on our workstations.

If its a restore, i don't know, but if its a format + clean install => Approx 20 min on my PC (2500k + 20Go RAM)
But you have to install a lot of updates (approx 2Gb)

It depends on the size of the system. Also, if the reason you are doing the restore is because of a major data loss, if you're trying to restore to the same drive, it may never succeed if the reason for the original problem is a drive failure.
Or, if the restore process is having to format the destination drive first, that could add considerably to the time required; once the drive is formatted, the rest of the process should be much quicker.
